Dr Shirelle Sammy graduated from The University of the West Indies (UWI), School of Veterinary Medicine in Trinidad in 2014. Immediately upon graduating she undertook a three-month internship at St Maarten Veterinary Clinic located in St. Maarten where she gained a wealth of experience in small animal medicine and surgery. She returned home in 2015 and continued her passion in small animals at a clinic located in Arima. Dr Sammy completed her Masters in Business Administration in 2018 and currently serves on the Trinidad and Tobago Veterinary Association Executive Committee as Public Relations Officer and is Chair of the Publication and Education Committee. She is very passionate about animal welfare and assists various rescue groups in neutering campaigns across Trinidad and Tobago and hopes to make a positive impact in the Veterinary community.
